Senator Creigh Deeds, Democratic candidate for Governor, released the following statement today concerning John LaCombe and his candidacy for the 81st District House of Delegates race. Deeds’ endorsement rounded out the endorsements from all Decmoratic candidates for governor, following Brian Moran and Terry McAuliffe.

I have deep respect and admiration for a fellow Democrat who stands with Virginia consumers against predatory lending practices. John’s work to bring attention to the victims of predatory lending has helped the General Assembly to pass tougher restrictions on business practices that take advantage of Virginia consumers. John is a passionate fighter for justice and I am confident he would serve the 81st district of Virginia well in the House of Delegates.”

John LaCombe is the Democratic Party nominee for the 81st district House of Delegates special election, which is scheduled for January 6th, 2009. John is the youngest nominee for a state legislative race in Virginia Democratic Party history, and if elected he will replace Thomas Jefferson as the youngest legislator in Virginia history. John’s priorities include protecting education investments, building transportation infrastructure, creating jobs for the people of the 81st district and all of Virginia, and fighting for justice and equality for all people.
