GLBTLive recently launched a new blog, Our Own Online, that is meant to l bring back the spirit of Hampton Roads’ first GLBT newspaper, and a one stop source for current news about and from the GLBT community.

The new blog currently has five contributors: Don Davis, who served on the board of directors of the original OUR OWN Community Press; Phillip Deal, gay rights activist and creator of GLBTLive; Ryan Hancock, Ph.D. student in Counseling at Old Dominion University; Brian L., who keeps up with world news; and Joel McDonald, political activist, blogger, and creator of Virginia Beach Progressives.

So far, the posts on Our Own Online range from dealing with philosphical issues of gay life, opportunities for activism for gay rights, and discussion on the political realities and needs of the GLBT community.
