I'm hoping that the CBO analysis of the Senate bill will have better economic news than the House bill. Conference should be interesting on this. Nye stated that the latest version of the legislation achieves many of the goals he set for health care reform – including ensuring access to coverage for individuals with preexisting conditions – but that it does not reduce the overall cost of health care for families, small businesses or taxpayers. There will always be time and opportunity to improve on what is signed into law, including further reducing health care costs and spending.
