Deeds campaign gets in gear

This past week might be seen as a crucial turning point for the Deeds campaign as it’s reached out to grassroots volunteers, began to distinguish the differences between Creigh Deeds and his Republican opponent, and has invoked the energy and political passion of none other than President Barack Obama himself.

The Miles Grant for Delegate campaign announced today its purchase of five metric tons of carbon emission offsets. Miles Grant is believed to be the first major party candidate for Virginia House of Delegates ever to offset the campaign’s carbon footprint.

Today, voters in the 81st house district of Virginia vote in a special election to fill the seat vacated by Delegate Terri Suite, who resigned to become a lobbyist at a law firm.
