Tomorrow, June 9th, is a the big day for Democrats across Virginia as they’ll head to the polls to elects their nominees Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, and various House races
The latest polling from Public Policy Polling shows Creigh Deeds in the lead with 27%, McAuliffe with 24%, and Moran with 22%.
Looking at the numbers, there are no guarantees for any of these three candidates at this point. All are competitive.
The Moran campaign needs to focus their resources on getting their message out, which has been totally lost in their targeting of McAuliffe. There aren’t any gains to be made in this way. The campaign has got to stop focusing on McAuliffe and focus on the voters, and why Brian Moran should be the Governor of Virginia.
Brian Moran is convinced that Virginia can conquer current challenges with the right kind of leadership, from the governor throughout the legislature. These are serious times, requiring a serious leader who understands the challenges that Virginians face, and how to work to improve their lives.
Public Policy Polling released it’s latest results, giving a boost to Terry McAuliffe showing McAuliffe ahead of Brian Moran by 10 points, and 16 points ahead Creigh Deeds.
When talking about the environment, the economy, equality, strengthening the Virginia Democratic Party, bringing jobs and investment to Virginia, making the commonwealth safer, and improving the quality of life for all Virginians; Brian Moran is the best candidate in this race.
So, for Virginia Partisans and all Virginians, the choice is between a candidate who has a shaky history and would like to avoid the issue, a candidate who stands on Democratic ideals and will fight to equality, and a candidate who won’t try to because it’s too difficult.
More than 150 key grassroots Democratic activists announced their support of Brian Moran for Governor today. Many of those supporting Moran have written personal statements about why they believe we need his proven record of fighting for people from our next Governor.
We now have three polls spanning 12 weeks in the current Democratic primary. By now, candidates and activists should be thinking about the best way to maneuver for a victory in November.
