Here’s the first television ad launched in the general gubernator election in Virginia. It’s from Creigh Deeds, titled, “This Election”.

This past week might be seen as a crucial turning point for the Deeds campaign as it’s reached out to grassroots volunteers, began to distinguish the differences between Creigh Deeds and his Republican opponent, and has invoked the energy and political passion of none other than President Barack Obama himself.

Who knows that the Deeds strategy is? Every candidate and their constituencies have a stake in the success of Creigh Deeds, and right now I feel that we’re losing.

The Deeds’ campaign released a schedule of 10 debates and forums, beginning with the Virginia Bar Association debate on Saturday.

Obama knows a thing or two about tough primaries, and knows a thing or two about running tough races in Virginia. Creigh Deeds’ primary victory once again shows the power of people at the grassroots to win elections and bring about lasting change.

Creigh Deeds was able to catch the attention and hearts of voters around the commonwealth of Virginia. He and his campaign should be commended for unwavering in their path to victory.

Tomorrow, June 9th, is a the big day for Democrats across Virginia as they’ll head to the polls to elects their nominees Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, and various House races

The latest polling from Public Policy Polling shows Creigh Deeds in the lead with 27%, McAuliffe with 24%, and Moran with 22%.

Looking at the numbers, there are no guarantees for any of these three candidates at this point. All are competitive.

Over the last few weeks, Virginians have seen a more aggressive campaign from Deeds. Now, The Washington Post has edorsed Creigh Deeds for Governor.
