The 22nd annual Out in the Park is scheduled for June 27th at Chesapeake City Park. This is the largest GLBT Pride event in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

President Obama mandated Thursday that nearly all hospitals extend visitation rights to the partners of gay men and lesbians and respect patients’ choices about who may make critical health-care decisions for them.

In a surprising turn, Governor Bob McDonnell issued Executive Directive One today, directing that “No employee of the Executive Branch shall engage in any discriminatory conduct against another employee.”
