The Westboro Baptist Church came to Norfolk in an attempt to spread hate and cause violence. They were met with hundreds of people who joined together in a positive way. Instead of causing division, the WBC strengthened the community.

A group of “tea baggers” protesting health care reform either missed or ignored the many messages sent out that Rep. Glenn Nye would not be speaking at this morning’s Virginia Beach Democratic Committee breakfast. They showed up anyway.
